The BAY International FILM FESTIVAL AWARDS

RECYCLED PLASTIC WAVE-SHAPED TROPHY PAIRED WITH FSC OAK

We’ve made awards for The Bay International Film Festival since 2023. Darren and Anna came to us for a local, sustainable and unique award and even visited the Foundry in Heysham to help craft one of our large sheets utilising fishing rope plastic saved from beaches - something poignant with existing next to Morecambe Bay and it’s environmental importance. Once the sheets were crafted, we cut these to a wave shape, prepped some FSC wood with sanding and oiling before attaching it all together without the use of glues so they can be disassembled and recycled responsibly at the end of their life. Since moving to Wales, we’ve replicated the design using injection moulded sheet material cut to shape creating a different set of unique swirls and patterns to the product.
